The Jets scored three touchdowns in each of their first two games.
That may not seem like a monumental achievement if you don't realize they only managed to do it once last season.
It marked the first time since 2021 that the Jets have scored three touchdowns in consecutive games.
What makes this feat even more impressive is that the Jets' offense still has some kinks to work out.
Ask anyone around the Jets and they feel their offense isn't firing on all cylinders yet.
The Jets feel like if they can fix a few things on offense, they can really put some points on the board.
“we [Sunday]”I feel like we're just a little bit short,” running back Breece Hall said. “We're almost there. We're getting close. That's the best thing. It was a good win.” [Sunday] And we feel like we can still do better.”
The Jets are 26th in the NFL in yards per game with 265.5 yards allowed per game.
In the first two games, seven of their 19 possessions ended in third downs (not including a kneel-down at halftime) and one ended in a fumble one play later.
At this point, it feels like the Jets are showing glimpses of what they are capable of.
The 12-touchdown drive at San Francisco and the game-winning drive at Tennessee were examples of how the Jets believe their offense will stabilize with more time together.
Aaron Rodgers said the Jets are “still early in the process.”
“We just haven't put it together yet,” Rodgers said. “We've had some good moments in the game, but we've just not been consistent enough with the pass and the run.”
Rodgers has been inconsistent through the first two games of the season.
At times he seemed scared and unsure.
Other times, we see how he can slice through defenses and throw passes that few others can.
Rodgers has yet to surpass 200 yards passing, but that's a modest number for a player with his proven track record.
Rodgers said after Sunday's win over the Titans that the Titans and 49ers have some of the best defenses in the NFL and that he thinks that's contributing to the Jets' struggles.
“We made mistakes with little things,” Rodgers said. “Sometimes it's a bad throw, sometimes we miss key spots in the run game, sometimes our route concepts go haywire and we don't run the right routes, little things. We can fix them, but it's the little things. It was the difference between the 315 yards we had and the 400 yards we had. [265 yards on Sunday] It's really small. We have to figure out how to fill in the gaps, especially on the shorter weeks.”
The Jets are showing some good things.
Pass protection has been a strength of the team's rebuilt line.
Rodgers has been under little pressure through two games.
The Jets also performed well in the running game on Sunday with rookie Braylon Allen filling in as Hall's backup.

Now the Jets must find a way to get more players involved.
Tight end Tyler Conklin has been a mostly unnoticeable presence on the offensive line, which is odd considering his role this past season and in training camp this summer.
“I think we're getting more cohesive as a team every day,” Conklin said. “Our run game is getting better and better. Our pass game is getting better and better. Obviously, there are some things we need to improve on. One of them is not getting off to a slow start. We had a couple of games where we started slow, three-and-outs and stuff, but I think we're moving in the right direction.”
I believe the Jets will only get better as the season progresses.
“It's a weird feeling knowing we can be better and still scoring,” Jets coach Robert Saleh said. “Three touchdowns in two straight games is something that hasn't happened here in a while. We still have a lot left in us and we see it all coming.”
