Jim Harbaugh is returning to the NFL.
After years of rumors about a possible return to the pros, Harbaugh remained at the University of Michigan and finally won a national championship earlier this month. Now, that chapter ends and a new one begins as he takes over as the next head coach. Los Angeles Chargers:

Speculation about a possible return to the NFL has increased in recent weeks, and Harbaugh himself was fairly negative about his future ahead of the Rose Bowl and the national championship game. After the University of Michigan defeated Washington in the title game, Harbaugh began meeting with NFL teams. including interviews with the Atlanta Falcons. There were reports that Harbaugh would have a second interview in Atlanta, but that's not inconceivable.
Instead, he will be stepping into perhaps the most attractive head coaching job available in the NFL, largely due to the presence of Justin Herbert in Los Angeles.
In Harbaugh, Harbaugh already has a quarterback. He must now lead this talented team and commit to being more than a media darling each offseason.
As for Herbert, he will have the opportunity to learn under Harbaugh, who has shown the ability to develop quarterbacks and adapt to the signal-caller's specialty offense.
