House Republicans, led by Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), are demanding information from Google about the level of U.S. government involvement in the development of Gemini, a hyper-awake AI chatbot.
of new york post report The House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Google on Saturday insisting that all communications between federal agencies related to Gemini and Google and parent company Alphabet be turned over to the committee by March 17.
Committee Chairman Jim Jordan expressed alarm at reports that the Gemini team implemented President Biden’s guidelines that AI systems must promote “impartiality.” This concept asserts that historically marginalized racial groups should be promoted ahead of other racial groups, regardless of merit.

Mr. Jordan suggested that such influence from the administration could violate the First Amendment. The letter expressed concern that “Alphabet has in the past censored speech protected by the First Amendment as a result of requests or demands from government agencies.”
Breitbart News previously reported that Google’s market value plummeted by $90 billion amid controversy over its new generative AI service Gemini. This hyper-woke AI quickly became famous for erasing white people from history and was widely ridiculed not only for its wildly inaccurate images, but also for its defense of pedophilia and Joseph Stalin.
Many media outlets were quick to point out that Gemini appears to be intentionally biased against white people, citing ahistorical images as evidence. Elon Musk, who recently acquired Twitter, also weighed in on the issue, and Gemini product leader Jack Kracik, who has tweeted his anger at “white privilege” and cried after voting for Joe Biden, has also weighed in on the issue. He singled out Google’s leaders like him. In a 2018 post, Krawczyk said: “Racism here is the first value that the people try to protect above all else…”

The controversy first surfaced after users pointed out that Gemini refuses to produce images of white people and instead produces more racially “diverse” depictions. For example, questions about the Founding Fathers, the Pope, and the Vikings elicited non-white opinions.
Imguez Cetin, founder of the AI company Genie AI, said that while it is understandable to prevent offensive output, “we are told not to write racist or sexist things, but if we do so, we will not be able to tell the truth.” George Washington wasn’t black, so manipulating reality is a really big danger.”
