Jimmy Fallon at the F1 Miami Grand Prix

Jimmy Fallon had quite the time at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, getting a little caught up in the excitement of it all. It was nearly a normal day, though, you know—well, *almost*.

Leading up to the race, Fallon was involved in the weekend festivities around Miami, managing to keep things mostly cool during the race itself. But then again, he almost stumbled at times.

Sky Sports analyst Martin Brundle made his usual rounds through the crowd on race day. His spontaneous celebrity encounters are memorable—and somewhat chaotic, really. That’s where things got interesting, as Brundle casually shoved the microphone into Fallon’s face within moments of reaching him.

The moment got a little strange when they exchanged an awkward handshake, followed by Brundle’s offbeat comment: “Don’t ever take Mike’s socks off again.” It was quirky, and that’s really Fallon’s vibe. He inherently brings a level of awkwardness to his humor, sometimes in unexpected ways, like, for instance, giving a playful bite to the microphone during the race discussion.

Race Day Overview

The Miami Grand Prix had to be rescheduled due to some pretty nasty weather earlier in the day. Kimi Antonelli from Mercedes ended up taking the top spot, while McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri snagged second and third places. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen, whom Fallon had his hopes pinned on, crossed the finish line in fifth.
