Jimmy Kimmel Stokes Paranoia by Asking George Clooney if He Thinks Trump Will Go After Him Following Election

ABC's Jimmy Kimmel added to the atmosphere of fear and paranoia about former President Donald Trump on his late-night show Tuesday when he asked guest George Clooney whether he thought Trump would attack him after the November election.

Jimmy Kimmel's provocative comments came just two days after a Biden-Harris supporter attempted to assassinate Trump at the former president's golf club in West Palm Beach. It was the second assassination attempt on Trump in two months after years of media portrayal of him as a firebrand and a “threat to democracy.”

On Tuesday's ABC broadcast, Kimmel took his dangerously speculative remarks even further.

“Have you ever considered the possibility that, if Donald Trump wins, he might use the power of the federal government against you personally?” Kimmel asked.

Clooney responded: “Yeah, I do, but I take solace in the fact that he's going after you first.”

Following Sunday's assassination attempt on President Trump, Democrats and mainstream media have only stepped up their inflammatory rhetoric against the Republican presidential candidate, in what many have interpreted as a calculated attempt to draw an even more extreme reaction against the president.

Hillary Clinton called Trump a “danger to the country” in an interview on MSNBC on Monday.

Whoopi Goldberg told the ABC hosts on Tuesday, Breitbart News reported. View She believes political rhetoric that incites violence can only come from the Republican Party.

“We cannot let extremists control our lives, our freedoms and our future,” pop sisters Billie Eilish and Finneas said in a video message on Tuesday, in an apparent reference to President Trump and his allies.
