“His opening line was about a below-average person trying too hard to be something they’re not and something they’ll never be,” Trump posted. “We should get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another down-and-out but cheap ABC ‘talent’ George Slopanopoulos. He would make everyone on stage look bigger, stronger and more attractive. Blah, blah, blah, make America great again. ”

Earlier in the day, Stephanopoulos came under fire for “embarrassing” Rep. Nancy Mace (RS.C.) over her support for former President Trump in a controversial interview.
Kimmel responded, “Thank you, President Trump.” “Thank you for watching. I’m still surprised, but… I guess the prison sentence has passed, right?” The audience responded with cheers, applause, and laughter.

Jimmy Kimmel wonders, ‘Will things get better if Trump dies?’
Before the show, Kimmel declared on CNN that he didn’t plan to spend much time talking about politics, but added, “I put it in at the last minute because something might come to mind.”
Kimmel mentioned Trump in the interview, saying, “One of the most enjoyable things about my job is knowing that he doesn’t like to be teased or made fun of.” “And sometimes he reminds us that he hates it and is mad about it. So I love it. I have some fun with it.”
