President Joe Biden, 81, won the Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses on Super Tuesday.
Biden, who the special counsel described as an “elderly man with a poor memory,” won the caucus with about 90% of the vote, with 4% of them voting “irresponsible.”
This “non-commitment” vote is important because it represents a section of the Democratic Party that is dissatisfied with Biden.
Associated Press called The race started just before 7 p.m., with about 94 percent of votes reported.
Democrats postponed the Iowa caucuses to later in the primary season. Previously, the Democratic caucuses in Iowa were held first on the calendar. They also changed their caucuses to a mail-only process.
Incumbent presidents typically have a significant advantage in reelection. But Biden’s approval rating has fallen well below 50 percent due to a series of questionable policies.
