Joe Biden and Bob Casey Hold Slight Leads in Pennsylvania

Polls show President Joe Biden and Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania) have a slight lead over former President Donald Trump and businessman Dave McCormick in the general election showdown in Pennsylvania. ing.

A Susquehanna Polling & Research poll released Monday found Mr. Biden leading Mr. Trump by 5 points in the binary presidential race. His approval rating was 50%, while Trump’s was 45%. He also found that 4 percent of respondents were unsure who they would support, while 1 percent said they would support someone else.

But Mr. Trump’s approval rating has increased by 6 points since hitting 39% in January, and Mr. Biden has since increased by 3 points. In other words, Mr. Trump has narrowed the gap with Mr. Biden by 3 points compared to the previous poll.

Notably, this result is contrary to trends seen in other Pennsylvania polls, which show a close race with Trump in the lead in many cases. For reference, RealClearPolling’s polling average show Trump holds a narrow 0.2% lead in the Keystone State.

In the Senate race, Mr. Casey maintains a 6-point lead over Mr. McCormick, 48% to 42%. His 10 percent of respondents are undecided. McCormick’s approval rating has remained unchanged since January, while Casey’s approval rating has increased by 2 points from 46%.

Susquehanna Polling and Research sampled 450 similar voters from February 27, 2024 to March 7, 2024, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points.

As Breitbart News reported, the poll comes after McCormick launched a television ad on Tuesday highlighting his time as a wrestler in the Keystone State.

“Pennsylvania Wrestling taught me the hard thing: to work hard. Tough choices,” McCormick said in the ad.

“That’s not what we get from Washington. Career politicians don’t do hard work,” he continued.

McCormick attended Bloomsburg Regional High School, where he was co-captain of the wrestling team that “finished fourth in the Commonwealth,” the team said in a press release.

Mr. Casey, who has been president for nearly 20 years, tried to attack Mr. McCormick over his leadership at Bridgewater Associates, a hedge fund based in Connecticut, but the ad was a sign of how wrestling is in Pennsylvania. It emphasizes what led him to West Point.

Casey and McCormick are listed as candidates for both parties after the state Supreme Court ruled that they will be the only names on each party’s primary ballot in April, according to the Associated Press. I got it..
