Joe Biden Gets Widespread Boos, Trump Cheered During Dave Chappelle Abu Dhabi Comedy Show

American comedian Dave Chappelle touched on the upcoming 2024 presidential election during a show in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital on Thursday.

AP Reports Chappelle’s reference to President Joe Biden pledging “ironclad” support for Israel prompted boos throughout the packed Abu Dhabi Arena.

Meanwhile, Republican front-runner Donald Trump received sporadic cheers, according to the outlet.

Chappelle, like other artists, made risqué jokes and swore during his performances.

But they largely avoided discussing local politics, except for Chappell, who reportedly made some sly jokes about the UAE’s far-reaching surveillance network and spoke deadpan about “how hard it is to be gay” in the country, where homosexuality is illegal.

However, he appeared on stage with a falcon, the symbol of the UAE, on his arm.

Chappelle, 50, was awarded the American Mark Twain Prize for Humor in 2019. He performed at Abu Dhabi Comedy Week.
