President Joe Biden sparked online ridicule Monday night after his spray-tanned skin appeared orange during a primetime speech.
The tan was likely done in response to criticism over his poor performance in Thursday’s debate, which sparked concerns about his age and cognitive ability.
The president delivered a five-minute speech Monday via teleprompter following the Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity, refusing to take questions from reporters as he left the podium. Commentators interpreted the remarks as mere stagecraft aimed at easing concerns about his competency. His orange look, reminiscent of former President Donald Trump, drew the most ridicule.
