Joe Biden to Speak Publicly Wednesday After Stepping Aside 

President Joe Biden is scheduled to address the nation from the Oval Office at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, presumably explaining why he’s withdrawing from the race, his official X account posted on Tuesday.

It marked the president’s first public appearance since Wednesday, when he was helped slowly down the stairs of Air Force One and into an SUV before disappearing over the weekend due to a suspected coronavirus infection. The president has not been photographed wearing a mask, which the Biden-Harris administration made mandatory for millions of Americans years ago.

His continued disappearance after his resignation sparked speculation that his health was deteriorating, and critics questioned the manner in which he announced his resignation, using his personal account X and personal letterhead.

Many believe Biden’s decision to drop out of the race amounts to a “coup,” and sources said Biden stepped down after senior Democratic Party officials threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment to oust him. New York Post on monday.

Biden endorsed Kamala Harris as his replacement as Vice President about 30 minutes after she stepped down, and he vowed to keep campaigning for her despite calls for her to step down.

Harris quickly raised $100 million and secured enough delegates to become the de facto nominee by Monday night.
