Joe Biden Uses Carter’s Funeral to Warn Against ‘Hate’ and ‘Abuse of Power’

President Joe Biden on Thursday politicized former President Jimmy Carter's funeral and warned the nation against “hate” and “abuse of power.”

Biden's comments, made while President-elect Donald Trump was sitting in the audience, were unintentionally ironic.

Mr. Biden's allies sought to imprison Mr. Trump, bankrupt him, remove him from the ballot and render him politically irrelevant by introducing a partisan commission into the Jan. 6 investigation.

“Jimmy Carter's friendship taught me…Strength of character is more than the titles and power we hold. It means that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It's the strength of understanding that everyone, and I think everyone deserves equal blowback.'' said The audience with Trump was in the second row.

“We have a duty to stand against hate by giving it no safe space. [what] My father said: The greatest sin of all is the abuse of power,” Biden said as all living former presidents looked on. “It's not about being perfect; none of us are perfect. We're all fallible,” he argued.

“Jimmy Carter, throughout his life, exemplified what it means to be a doer of good deeds and a good and faithful servant of God and people,” Biden added.

Biden's comments didn't seem to affect Trump, who was sitting next to Barack Obama.

Before the ceremony, Presidents Trump and Obama appeared to be old friends, despite President Obama's comments months earlier suggesting that Trump was a threat to democracy and a Hitlerite. .

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was sitting in the front row in front of President Obama, turned around in her seat to catch a glimpse of Trump and Obama's friendly conversation.
