Donald Trump’s Manhattan trial begins in earnest this week, but the verdict has already been reached, with prosecutors and the judge finding him guilty of election interference.
I know it’s true because the New York Times says so.
Well, The Lady in Gray didn’t put it exactly that way, but Friday’s headline hinted at the injustice by declaring, “Trump vs. Biden on Trial: Unprecedented 2024 Stretch Begins.” I did.
What makes this situation “extraordinary” is the fact that the incumbent is free to use Air Force One to attack battleground states while the challenger is essentially tied to a chair during a tense criminal trial. This is one way to explain.
Better word choices the Times could have used include “outrageous” and “corrupt.”
They touch on the heart of Democrats’ efforts to weaponize law enforcement and the courts to rig the election in Biden’s favor.
The goal is to bind, corrupt, bankrupt, and/or imprison Trump.
The only thing they failed to do was keep him off the ballot, but only because the Supreme Court said no dice.
During his visit to Pennsylvania, Mr. Biden used his advantages to his advantage and spared no effort in attacking his weaker rival.
He visited his childhood hometown of Scranton, visited Abe Lincoln’s log cabin, and the Times duly said, “When it comes to the economy, voters are choosing between “Scranton values and Mar-a-Lago values.” “I am forced to make a choice,” he reportedly claimed. ”
An empty pitch to voters
One wonders what the good people of Scranton really think about the big man’s family values, and whether they approve of the millions in dirty money the Biden family has earned from China and other enemy countries. There is a need.
The Times didn’t ask.
The paper reported in Philadelphia that the president used the support of members of the Kennedy family to frame the assassinations of Presidents John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy as part of Trump’s vision of “anger, hatred, revenge and retaliation.” It was reported that they were tied.
It’s not on the surface, but the Times didn’t reprimand Biden.
Imagine if Trump did that.
This is a banana republic problem and it is no longer on the horizon.
The kind of election interference that Americans associate with Third World kleptocratic states is here now.
Wars in Europe and the Middle East would allow Earth to take advantage of the kind of stable and reliable democracy that America once had.
But the Trump affair proves that we have entered a new dark era in which government power is openly abused for partisan purposes.
The Manhattan charges are so blatantly fabricated that it’s hard to believe there’s really a trial going on.
In fact, until the indictment, I thought this whole thing was an MSNBC fever dream that would never see the light of day.
Even after the accusations were announced, I was hoping that New York courts would grow up and blow the whistle.
After all, Manhattan Prosecutor Alvin Bragg hasn’t said how he was able to turn a series of misdemeanor charges on his books in 2016 into felony charges now.
But hopes for a fairer court system disappeared when state Attorney General Letitia James avoided filing an absurd civil lawsuit against the former president.
The fact that she campaigned on a promise to target Trump should have been enough to dismiss the case.
Instead, she successfully steered it to a judge in Gongshaw, who accepted her trumped-up fraudulent damages claim and happily added in her own damages, bringing the total to nearly $500 million. –Although it was an incident in which there were no victims!
Capturing Tissue’s portfolio
While James was lusting over which of Trump’s properties to seize first – perhaps an office tower or a golf course – an appeals court reduced Trump’s bail from full amount to $175 million. After that, I finally started to see signs of sanity.
But it spurred James into a new jihadi rage.
She is now challenging the bond company’s ability to cover the $175 million and is demanding that it find a new insurer or declare default so it can begin foreclosing on the property.
So two top prosecutors go after their party’s biggest adversary, Moby Dick, at a time when New York is rife with rampant violence chasing taxpayers and businesses.
The judge in the Manhattan case is also questionable. Judge Juan M. Marchan was a little-known figure until now, but he rose to prominence on the left as a Democrat whose daughter worked for Trump-baiting California congressman Adam Schiff. Being an activist is also a factor.
Like a daughter, like a father?
Mr Marchan should have recused himself due to the obvious conflict of interest, but he refused.
The media tolerates it because convicting Trump is more important than a fair trial and public trust in the courts.
This is nothing new, as the Democratic Party is in its eighth year of going around voters to smear the opposition.
While these are the only rules they follow, Republicans still rely on patrolling firing squads.
The left’s first major weaponization of politics, the bogus Russia collusion story in 2016 popularized by Hillary Clinton and amplified by the Times and other left-wing news outlets, failed to change the election, but Trump’s Sabotaged much of his term.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation lasted so long and included so many damaging leaks that it helped Democrats win the House of Representatives in the 2018 midterm elections.
After taking the gavel, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Schiff concocted a fake impeachment on a phone call with President Trump, further weakening his quest for a second term.
As the fake Manhattan trial shows, harassment persists despite its effectiveness.
Three prosecutors and the Federal Election Commission, including Mr. Bragg, rejected the case as too weak before bowing to leftist pressure and filing charges.
Indifferent to prosecution
Although this is historic, there is no concern in the supporting media that the United States has survived without indicting any of its 44 former presidents after leaving office.
However, #45 is different.
In fact, he is very different, facing four criminal trials plus a James civil suit, all brought by Democrats.
And he is a threat to democracy!
Trump is no angel, but there is no evidence that he called for the prosecution of his opponents while in office.
But Biden did just that.
Two years ago, the Times reported that Mr. Biden wanted Attorney General Merrick Garland to prosecute Mr. Trump.
Partisan AGs quickly followed suit, indicting Trump on not one, but two counts.
Think of this as a belt-and-suspenders effort to make sure Biden’s opponents get tied up and tainted in court, even if they’re acquitted.
Criminal cases in New York and Georgia provide further support. President Trump cannot exonerate himself because a state conviction is evidence of a pardon.
It’s all part of the election strategy shamefully employed by the media.
Below is an example of Friday’s article in the Times.
“Biden, campaigning across the country, looks like a traditional presidential candidate. Trump, sitting in a courtroom, looks like a criminal defendant.”
Mission complete.
