Joe Keery Supports LGBTQ+ Youth with Tour Donations

Joe Keery, known for his role as Steve Harrington on Netflix’s Stranger Things and also performing under the name Djo, is reportedly donating $1 from each ticket sold during his tour to support LGBTQ+ youth initiatives.

In a recent TikTok video, Keery expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “I support the Ally Coalition and I’m happy to be a part of it and raise awareness for safe spaces where people can be who they are.” Reflecting on his tour, he shared, “The tour was amazing. This is the end of the tour, the last 20 weird shows. It’s been a great year full of a lot of changes and a lot of growth. This has been a really special year for me, so I hope this dollar helps others.”

The video, shared by the organization known as the Ally Coalition (TAC) on TikTok, emphasizes their mission to connect with artists in the entertainment field to enhance visibility for LGBTQ+ youth initiatives.

TAC, founded in 2013 by brothers Jack and Rachel Antonoff, aims to “improve the lives of LGBTQ youth through tours, social media campaigns, and collaborative partnerships while providing meaningful support to organizations that serve them.” In the TikTok caption, they expressed gratitude, stating, “We had the opportunity to speak with @Djo before the tour’s final show at L.A.’s Greek Theater. Djo is donating $1 for every ticket sold on his Another Bite Tour to TAC to support LGBTQ+ youth. We are very grateful to Djo and his entire team for their support and congratulations on a great tour.”
