Joe Rogan blasts MSNBC for ‘deceptively editing’ Kamala Harris comments
Joe Rogan has accused MSNBC of “deceptively editing” a clip of the popular podcaster praising Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, when in fact he was praising former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.
The host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” began his show Tuesday by denying rumors circulating online that he plans to file a lawsuit against the left-leaning cable news channel.
“I'm not going to sue MSNBC,” Rogan said, adding that his father-in-law called after seeing a headline endorsing the vice president.
“But here's what MSNBC did: They took a clip of me talking about Tulsi Gabbard and edited it to make it look like I was saying nice things about Kamala Harris.”
Joe Rogan has accused MSNBC of “deceptively editing” footage of him to make it look like he was praising Vice President Kamala Harris. JRE Clip/YouTubeThe clip showed an earlier episode of Rogan's podcast. MSNBC/TikTokMSNBC said it had removed an edited version of the clip that “falsely suggested” Rogan was praising Harris.
Rogan said that while MSNBC does not use artificial intelligence to create the video, the network “edited what I said in a way that was misleading” and “took it completely out of context.”
He said MSNBC mashed up two separate clips in which he was heard praising Gabbard and then saying Harris had a chance of winning the 2024 presidential election, making it seem as if he was only talking about the Democratic candidate.
Gabbard, who represented Hawaii in Congress before leaving the Democratic party, recently endorsed former President Donald Trump.
“I was talking about how Tulsi Gabbard served as a congresswoman for eight years and served overseas. [as part of] “I've done two medical missions to treat people who were blown up in war,” Logan said, adding, “That's not what Kamala Harris did. That's what Tulsi Gabbard did.”
MSNBC “released it as footage of me praising Kamala Harris,” he added.
“But they don't care about the truth,” Rogan said of MSNBC. “They just hope that the story gets to enough people, because most people are superficial readers who read the headline and say to themselves, 'I get it.'”
The Post has reached out to MSNBC for comment.

The video Rogan was referring to has since been removed by MSNBC, which added a disclaimer that read: “We have removed an earlier version of this post that incorrectly suggested Joe Rogan was speaking about Vice President Kamala Harris. He was referring to Tulsi Gabbard.”
In an August 2 post on the social media platform “X,” Gabbard accused MSNBC of being a “propaganda arm for Democratic elites” and “blatantly attempting to deceive the American people.”
Mr. Logan's supporters criticized him for declining to endorse Mr. Trump and for praising Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s run to the White House as an independent.
Kennedy endorsed Trump after dropping out of the presidential race last week.
