Joe Rogan cautions that liberals rejoicing over Charlie Kirk's assassination is pushing the U.S. nearer to 'civil war'

Joe Rogan Discusses Major Political Division in America

Podcast host Joe Rogan warned that the recent death of TPUSA co-founder Charlie Kirk, and the reactions to it, could indicate the country is moving towards civil war.

In a conversation with guest Brian Redban, Rogan reflected on the growing chaos in America’s political landscape. He stated that Kirk’s murder at a campus event in September exemplifies the deep divisions currently present in the nation.

“Charlie Kirk gets shot, and people are celebrating, asking, ‘Do you want those who disagree with you to die?’” Rogan pondered. “I mean, where are we on the civil war scale? Is it already 7 o’clock? I thought we were more at 5 o’clock.”

He also noted that, following Kirk’s incident, it felt like the situation might have escalated further than before. “I thought we might be on the brink of a civil conflict,” he said.

Rogan expressed concern that happiness over someone’s death—especially in a public murder that was witnessed by many—reflects a troubling moral decline. He emphasized that if someone’s biggest fault was merely holding a different opinion, then celebrating their wrongful death is, well, quite disturbing.

He pointed out that not just fringe individuals but also respected figures were openly expressing joy over the assassination on social media. “It feels strange,” he questioned. “What’s going on with everyone?”

Since Kirk’s death, protests and threats of violence have continued to arise during TPUSA events, which indicates an ongoing tension.

Recently, at a TPUSA event at the University of California, Berkeley, a supporter was attacked, leading to several arrests for violent activity, including charges against four women for damaging property.

“We’re at the Turning Point USA campus tour at UC Berkeley…Antifa has breached police barricades and is posing threats to attendees,” stated TPUSA Chief of Staff Mikey McCoy.

Logan, on a previous occasion, had also warned against the escalating acceptance of political violence. She mentioned that Kirk’s murder opened her eyes, noting she was surprised by how many people celebrated his death.

“It’s just odd that normal people believe they’re righteous while viewing him as bad,” she remarked. “I don’t agree with everything Kirk has said or done, but still.”
