Joe Rogan’s Podcast Claims Top Spot on Apple Podcasts in 2025
Joe Rogan’s podcast has reached the pinnacle of another major streaming platform this year. As reported recently, “The Joe Rogan Experience” has been crowned as America’s podcast of 2025 on Apple Podcasts, largely thanks to Rogan’s extensive audience engagement this year.
It seems that interviews from February, particularly one with Elon Musk, significantly boosted Rogan’s show, allowing it to leap from third place in 2024 to the number one position this year.
Interestingly, the podcast managed to surpass “The Daily,” which is produced by The New York Times and held the top rank previously.
This year also saw a shift in rankings for other popular podcasts. “Crime Junkie,” which was in second place last year, dropped to fourth, while “The Mel Robbins Podcast” moved up to second place.
The episode featuring Musk, in fact, became the fourth most-watched episode on Apple Podcasts in 2025, even edging out an interview with former President Donald Trump, which ranked fifth.
In a separate yet related note, the NFL stars, Travis and Jason Kelce, hosted a show titled “New Heights,” which clinched popularity with an interview with pop star Taylor Swift—currently engaged to Travis Kelce. This episode came in third among the most-watched, trailing just behind the second-most popular “Crime Junkie” episode, with the top spot being claimed by “Telepathic Tapes.”
Rogan’s show also stands as the second most followed on Apple’s U.S. chart for this year, right behind “The Mel Robbins Podcast.”
Notably, Rogan’s surge in popularity on Apple follows an already established dominance on Spotify, where “The Joe Rogan Experience” has consistently been a leader in various English-speaking countries, including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
A spokesperson for Rogan did not respond immediately to requests for comments regarding this surge.
