Joe Scarborough predicts Trump-Harris debate on Fox News 'just not gonna happen'

MSNBC commentator Joe Scarborough predicted that former President Trump and Vice President Harris would not face off in the Fox News debate.

The morning talk show host said Monday that Trump is “trying to run away” from a debate with Harris, who has said she would be open to debating Trump on ABC on Sept. 10. Trump had agreed to debate President Biden before dropping out of the race.

The former president then accused ABC of bias against him and said he would not attend the debate on ABC due to the ongoing lawsuit against the company, instead proposing to debate Harris a week earlier on September 4 on Fox News, the top-rated cable news channel.

“What he’s proposing is that the chances of Kamala Harris attending are as slim as the chances of him appearing on a primetime MSNBC show,” Scarborough said. “It’s just not going to happen.”

Scarborough and his co-host and wife, Mika Brzezinski, like many progressive commentators at MSNBC, have often been harsh critics of President Trump and his allies at Fox News and other conservative media.

President Biden’s favorite cable news show, “Morning Joe,” was not aired the first weekday after Trump’s assassination last month, and the host criticized the network’s leadership for the decision on the air at the time.

News media “Semaphore” Reported over the weekend NBC is one of the networks competing to host a debate between Harris and Trump.

ABC said it plans to host Harris on September 10, regardless of whether Trump attends.
