It was a great week for Joel Dahmen at this year’s Players Championship. His prediction ability came true, so he should go buy a lottery ticket.
Former Washington Husky bet on yourself St. Patrick’s Day with our sponsor Bushmills Irish Whiskey. Damen is a man of the people, so it wasn’t surprising to see him making bets on social media.
Feeling lucky to be Irish this weekend! I’m betting on it being in the top 10. If I make it, Joel’s Juicy Lies will be given to me. @Bushmills USA to celebrate

“Feeling lucky for the Irish this weekend! I’m betting on myself to finish in the top 10. If I make it, Joel’s juicy lie will have me and @bushmillsUSA celebrating.” Damen wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Dahmen finished 74-67-67-68 with a birdie on the 72nd hole. He jumped onto the leaderboard Sunday at 4 under par, but fell one shot short of beating the masses.
Dahmen tied for 11th in one of the biggest PGA Tour events of the season.
Still, he was right to believe in himself this week. This was his best performance of the season after failing to qualify in three of the past six tournaments.
However, that one shot might be a saving grace. If he had finished in the top 10, the whiskey bill for Joel’s Juicy Lies would have been huge. Now, he won’t have to share that $606,250 check with anyone other than caddy Geno Bonaly, who will also receive a hefty salary himself.
One more birdie and Dahmen wins another $100,000.
It’s great to see Dahmen high on the leaderboard again. After watching his struggles over the past year and watching them play out on Netflix’s Full Swing Season 2, Damen seems to have felt that itch again.
Bushmills Irish Whiskey is the whiskey of the PGA Tour. Last week at Bushmills Bar at The Players, we featured ‘Joel’s Juicy Lies’ all week wearing mini bucket hats.
Last August, SB Nation’s Playing Through had exclusive coverage of Damen’s new partnership with Bushmills. He created his own drink and it seems to have been a big hit at The Players.
To make Joel’s Juicy Lies, you’ll need Bushmills 10 Year Malt Blend, grapefruit soda, lime, and pineapple juice. A refreshing drink perfect for watching golf or golf competitions.
This T11 finish is her best record this season, dating back to the Grant Thornton Invitational Tournament in December, when she finished T9th along with LPGA world No. 1 Lilia Vu.
Perhaps his week at The Players is a sign of things to come for Damen in 2024.
