Author and pastor John MacArthur said that Christians in the United States and around the world have a Biblical obligation to protect the Jewish people, and that God warned the nations that if they did not do so, the Jews would be cursed.
The host of the popular radio ministry show “Grace to You” made the comments during a recent gathering at his church, Grace Community Church in California. Q&A When asked if Christians were “obligated to stand on the side of the state of Israel,” he replied:
“I think we have an obligation to stand as guardians of the Jewish people. Genesis 12. You bless the descendants of Abraham, blessed are you. “You are cursing them, you are cursing,” MacArthur replied, “God is warning the whole world. They are my chosen people. There is a plan. Yes, they have followed idols. Yes, they have been punished and judged. Yes, they have rejected the Messiah.”
“The Jews now live and die and are forever gone from the presence of God. But still, God has a future plan for them, and we must be their protectors.” “No,” he added.
Genesis 12 It records God’s words to Abraham. “I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing; I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you; and all the peoples above.” Through you the earth will be blessed. ”
MacArthur said, “Any country that tries to eliminate Jews has made a bad, bad decision.”
“For the Bible is full of God’s promises that no one will destroy them. And all who try will be destroyed. This is because of what they do politically or militaryly. That doesn’t mean we need to give them money, but we need to know that God has a plan for the Jewish people, and until that time they see the Messiah and salvation comes. , you must understand that we always want to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the preservation of the Jewish people.”
MacArthur concluded, “God warns you to make sure you protect the Jewish people, and God promises to bless you.”
