John Stamos Criticizes ICE After Shooting Incident

Actor John Stamos has spoken out regarding the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the backlash from a recent Border Patrol shooting in Minneapolis. His statement came through a handwritten note shared on his Instagram Story.

Stamos, who claims he usually avoids political involvement, described the behavior of ICE as “cruel.” He stated, “I don’t feel that way. I feel like what we’re seeing from ICE is cruel.”

This reaction follows the January shooting of residents Renee Good and Alex Preti by federal agents during an immigration operation, which led to significant protests throughout the city.

As tensions rise, reports indicate that some Border Patrol agents may be leaving Minnesota soon, while President Trump mentioned that “border czar” Tom Homan would meet with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Stamos reiterated his criticism of ICE, emphasizing that treating individuals as threats instead of human beings is a sign that something is fundamentally broken. He remarked, “When fear is a tactic, something is broken.”

While he chose not to name specific figures from the Trump administration or the victims of the shootings, his conclusion resonated with an unsettling sentiment: “I feel like the bad guys are winning these days.”

In response to criticisms directed at liberal entertainers, Stamos urged critics to reconsider the importance of humanity over political lanes, asserting, “This is what our lane is all about!”

He also addressed the hypocrisy he perceives, suggesting that the rapid cycle of events in today’s world has erased any sense of shame: “This doesn’t feel right, and staying quiet feels even worse.”

As the investigation into the deaths of Good and Preti remains ongoing, Stamos ended his note with a thoughtful reminder: “Maybe the least we can do is keep our eyes peeled.”
