“Daily Show” host John Stewart said he had sounded a constant media “fascist” attack on President Donald Trump, which ended up “numbing” the country.
In an out-of-air clip shared on the X show, Stewart was asked by the audience about what he would say to critics who accused him of “shedding light on recent fascist messages.”
“Ah, well, I say to the critics – shut up! You're a fascist!” Stewart responded jokingly.
Stewart continued to explain to the audience why he appreciated the question and understood the “desire” that calls Trump a “fascist,” but himself refrained from using such rhetoric.

“I'm very big – and I know it's annoying, but it's peculiarity and nuance,” Stewart said. “And I think if you cry “fascism,” even if you're all administrative overreaching, even constitutionally okay, then you'll really get yourself out of the bullet of fascism when the time really comes. ”
“I think what the media has done over the past decade is Creewolf to the point that it has paralyzed everyone,” he continued. “It's an anesthetic, and where was it that they filed a lawsuit through this campaign?” He is a fascist, he is a terrible person, and democracy is on the vote. guess what's lost in [ballot box]? If you told us that democracy was on the vote, then democracy was kicked in the ass by a majority vote. ”
“So I'm very careful about when you should know, yes – yeah – I hope you don't do that the day after Crystal Nacht…but that's what you put your dog down It's like when it happened. It's one of them. Sure, but I understand how annoying it is,” Stewart added.

Stewart is not the only one to question Trump's “fascist” label's use of the left wing. “Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God called out Democrats for a sudden change in their minds after Trump won the presidential election.
“Now that he has won, don't you think it's strange that they aren't calling him a threat to democracy? They're not calling him a fascist. “Charramane said in November.
