Jordan Spieth missed the CJ Cup Byron Nelson for the fourth time this season, making his PGA Tour debut in 2010 at the age of 16.
He had a chance to survive the weekend at the end of the second round. He arrived at the par-4 16th hole at 5 under for the tournament and one stroke off the cut line.
But he hit his tee shot perfectly on this 495-yard par 4. And somehow his ball ended up back in the middle of the fairway.
his drive bounced off a customer’s elbowprepare your second shot to this difficult hole to be much easier.
But Spieth couldn’t take advantage of that fortuitous bounce. He moved his approach to the left side of the green and sank three putts from there, dropping to 4 under, two spots short of the cut line.
But it wasn’t just the shot that Spieth lost on Friday’s 16th hole. He also gave an unlucky fan his $20 bill due to reckless driving and lost $20. Spieth also gave away an autographed golf ball.

However, Spieth was unable to gain momentum on the final two holes at TPC Craig Ranch, finishing the second day with a 1-under par 70. After not having the best results this week, he will look to bounce back at next week’s Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Spieth will then move on to the PGA Championship, where he will aim to complete a career Grand Slam. Let’s hope he doesn’t hit another fan with another drive in the coming weeks.
