The 2025 Maine pageant is generating buzz as Jordon Hudson, who is Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend and was a runner-up last year, aims for the crown. Early fan voting seems to suggest that Hudson might not repeat her previous success.
Public voting is open online, allowing $1 per vote, and Hudson leads with over 220 votes at publication. The models with the highest votes will gain automatic entry into the People’s Choice Award and semi-finals.
Currently, Hudson is ahead of Isabel Centsil, who has more than 440 votes as of now. Notably, St. Sill is the first transgender model to participate in the Miss Maine competition after securing the local Miss Monson USA title.
St. Sill reflected on her cheerleading journey, facing numerous obstacles along the way. She expressed how she overcame challenges and achieved state and national titles, inspiring others to follow their dreams, regardless of their background or experience.
She believes her journey in this pageant echoes her past experiences, saying she has what it takes to win Miss Maine USA.
Maine is currently a focal point in the national debate surrounding the inclusion of trans-athletes in women and girls’ sports. Officials, including Governor Janet Mills, are navigating pressures from the federal government, especially under the Trump administration. This has led to legal actions from the Department of Justice against the state regarding these issues.
Hudson, who represents a fishing family after her family’s fisheries went bankrupt during her childhood, aims to advocate for the traditions and heritage of Maine’s fishing community, voicing her commitment to preventing similar hardships for others.
The latest updates regarding online voting are unclear after the voting site experienced a crash. Before the outage, Lexi Bjork from Southern Maine was leading with over 1,400 votes.
