In the second inning, Soto made a running catch that hit the right field wall, and in the fifth inning, Volpe made a difficult diving catch into the shallow left field.

Grisham then started a double play with a nice diving grab in that gap in the sixth inning.

Starling Marte was spinning at second base when Grisham caught the ball, but the Gold Glove center fielder easily allowed a leadoff double.

Saturday schedule

The Yankees will be on squad duty (both games at 1:05 p.m.) with Carlos Rodon starting against the Phillies at Steinbrenner Field and Cody Poteet and Clayton Beater starting against the Tigers in Lakeland, Fla. do.
