Josh Brolin Shares Horrifying Tale Of His Father Slaughtering His Pet And Feeding It To Him

Famous actor Josh Brolin recalled a traumatic childhood event in which his father slaughtered a pet pig and fed it to him.

Brolin shared the troubling story on the Nov. 20 episode of “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,” admitting he would never do something like this to his own children. The topic came up when Bensinger admitted that his father, James, told Brolin this story before the interview.

“So this story about me having pigs, this is a terrible story, I have pigs. Oink and Snort, that was their name,” Brolin affectionately said about his beloved pets. He spoke with all his heart. “And I help raise these pigs and we're having dinner one night. It's surprising to me that he would tell you this story, it makes him look so bad. He I said, “Guess what you're eating.'' I said, “What?'' He said, “It's either Oink or Snort.'' ”

Brolin said he had already eaten dinner and was enjoying the taste when his famous Golden Globe-winning father made the shocking revelation.

He declined to say how old he was when the incident happened, but spoke of it with dismay.

“I was like, 'What?' And he said, 'That's what we're eating, these are the people we slaughtered,'” Brolin told Bensinger.

During the interview, he grimaced and expressed his dissatisfaction.

“I thought, 'Why would you say that to a kid?'” It doesn't make sense. Why would you say something like that to your child as a congratulations? Or did he just want to make an impact? I think he was trying to make an impact,” Brolin said.

Brolin said she felt her father was trying to make a strong impression on her that day, “whether it was a negative influence or not.”

He went on to admit that it was absolutely out of the question for him to do something like this to his own children.

“I mean, I'm angry because I can't imagine saying that to my own child,” he said. (Related: Al Pacino talks about a very intimate injury that will probably make you nervous)
