Josh Duhamel Embraces Simplicity in a Remote Cabin

Josh Duhamel is fully committed to living a simpler lifestyle. Recently, the actor known for “London Call” shared that he’s preparing to sustain himself during potential global challenges. In an interview, he mentioned having developed various skills to enjoy life off the grid in his secluded cabin nestled in the Minnesota woods.

At 52, Duhamel expressed that he feels about “70%” prepared to face an apocalypse from his secluded spot, which is about an hour and a half away from his hometown in North Dakota.

Transforming His Life and Skills

Reflecting on his experiences, Duhamel acknowledged that being off the grid has helped him refine his survival skills. “It’s really beneficial to go out there and learn the basics that I haven’t practiced in a long time,” he noted.

He finds peace in this environment, stating, “Whenever I’m there, my blood pressure drops. I feel at ease. I’m always fixing something, taking care of my family, and cooking for the kids.” It seems like a fulfilling change for him.

Life in the Cabin

Duhamel spent 15 years building his “end of the Apocalypse” cabin. He welcomed a son, Shepherd, with his wife Audra Mari in January 2024, alongside co-parenting his 11-year-old son Axl with ex-wife Fergie. He admits that while this lifestyle can be challenging, it offers him cherished moments with his loved ones.

“When I’m off the grid with my family, that’s when I feel most comfortable and genuine,” Duhamel shared. “I can do this for a living, and I find great comfort in it. It’s a creative outlet that I think I will rely on moving forward, so I’m grateful for it.”

He explains that immersing himself in this routine allows him to enjoy a sense of normalcy. He loves having friends over and creating lasting memories with his family in North Dakota.

A Glimpse into His Acting Career

In addition to his new lifestyle, Duhamel is also active in the entertainment industry. He plays Tommy Ward in “London Call,” a film about an absent hitman tasked with mentoring a crime boss’s son. His passion for directing shines through as he talks about his experiences filming earlier this year, expressing gratitude for the opportunities that continue to come his way.

As he embraces this calmer life, Josh Duhamel seems to find balance between his career and family, showcasing the complexity of juggling both worlds.
