Thunder guard Josh Guidy will not be charged following a police investigation into whether he had an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl. TMZ reported on Wednesday..
The Newport Beach Police Department began an investigation in November but closed it because no solid evidence was found, the newspaper reported.
Allegations against Guidi, 21, first surfaced on social media in late November, when photos and videos appeared to show the third-year professional player and a minor, believed to be a high school senior.
“Of course I understand the question, but I will refrain from making any further comments at this time,” Guidi told reporters, repeatedly confronting reporters after the news first broke.
The girl and her family refused to cooperate with the investigation, and famous attorney Gloria Allred was hired to represent the minor.
Guidi remained on the Thunder's roster and continued to play even amidst the doubts.
