Josh Hart Celebrates Texas Board of Education’s Bible Reading Vote

NBA champion and New York Knicks player Josh Hart expressed his excitement on social media over the Texas Board of Education’s decision to mandate Bible reading in public schools. At 31, Hart has openly shared his faith during his nine-year career, often giving thanks to God in postgame interviews.

“Whoever has ears, let me hear,” Hart shared on X, accompanied by three fire emojis. It’s clear he felt strongly about this development.

On Friday, the school board approved the new reading mandate with a 9-5-1 vote. Among the required texts are “Exodus” for fifth graders and “The Psalms of the Shepherds” for seventh graders.

Julie Picklen, a Republican board member, noted that these readings were aimed at providing “important insights into the moral and philosophical traditions that have shaped Western civilization.” She emphasized that a classical educational approach encourages in-depth engagement with historical documents, which can help students develop critical thinking skills by examining foundational texts that influenced both the United States and Texas.

The Knicks’ path to winning the NBA Championship seemed almost fated as they frequently turned deficits into victories during crucial moments of the game.

In his performance throughout the playoffs, Hart didn’t shy away from showcasing his skills. He averaged 10.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.7 steals across the 19 playoff games, contributing significantly on both ends of the floor.
