Celebration After the Victory
After a big win, a little celebration is in order. Josh Hart marked the Knicks’ impressive 130-93 win over the Cavaliers in Game 4 with a glass of wine during his postgame press conference.
Wearing a Knicks NBA Finals hat and looking quite sharp, Hart joined his former Villanova teammates, Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson. They’re gearing up to face either the Thunder or Spurs in the upcoming week.
When asked about the Knicks’ 11-game winning streak, especially coming back from a 2-1 deficit to the Hawks in Game 1, Hart mentioned, “I don’t think that in and of itself flipped a switch.” He went on to praise his teammates, calling them “selfless.”
During the press conference, he humorously noted that he was too busy enjoying wings to ask the usual questions. When Bridges pointed out that one reporter was munching on wings, Hart chimed in, “I know you’re not going to come in sucking your fingers.” This led to some laughter in the room, with Hart joking that having a wing instead of asking a question was quite the choice.
Hart, who was on the bench for Game 1 as the Knicks faced a daunting 22-point deficit, watched as the Cavaliers squandered their lead in the fourth quarter, ultimately losing in overtime.
In Game 2, Hart had a standout performance, stepping in for Landry Shamet and putting up 26 points, shooting 10-of-21 from the field. Meanwhile, Shamet dazzled, hitting an impressive 11-of-12 from three-point range throughout the series, showcasing the depth of this Knicks team.
As the Thunder and Spurs are locked in a 2-2 series, the Knicks are left waiting to discover who will be their opponent in the Finals.
