Accusations Against Boyfriend of Missing Woman

The boyfriend of Isadora Wenger, who has been reported missing, is facing serious allegations of dismembering her body using a tool in North Dakota and transporting her remains via DoorDash to her apartment, where he allegedly abandoned them across state lines.

Joshua Alexander Hite, aged 21, was taken into custody last Tuesday after a prolonged investigation into Wenger’s disappearance. She was last seen by her family on December 31st and officially reported missing on January 7th.

“Based on the investigation so far, we believe that Isadora Wenger was violently murdered,” stated Fargo police. “We have significant reason to suspect that her boyfriend, Josh Hite, is the individual responsible for her murder and has tampered with evidence regarding the disposal of her body.”

They further claimed, “We consider this a horrific crime.” And, interestingly, they mentioned the potential for further developments.

Video and forensic evidence reportedly indicate that Hite, who was recently discovered with cuts and bruises, misled both authorities and his family while attempting to conceal the possible murder. According to court documents, he accessed Wenger’s phone between January 4 and 5 and sent unusual Snapchat pictures of her apartment’s ceiling and walls to her mother and others.

Moreover, Hite expressed that he had seen Wenger when he was supposedly dropping her off on January 5. Yet, surveillance footage contradicted this claim, showing no sign of her in his car at that time.

On January 4, suspicious Google searches emerged from Hite’s phone, including queries about “how to register a legal alias” and “Home Depot Sawzall,” which is a powerful type of saw. Notably, there was a receipt from Home Depot for numerous tools and materials that investigators believe were delivered via DoorDash around 10:30 a.m. on the same day.

Various items matching Wenger’s DNA profile were also seized from Hite’s apartment, revealing a bloody plastic sheet, Wenger’s Halloween costume, and a collection of other incriminating materials.

Authorities suspect that between the early hours of 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., Hite might have used his Subaru Impreza to move Wenger’s remains in a large storage box to Otter Tail County, Minnesota, approximately an hour away.

As for the disposal conditions, police note that the ground was heavily frozen at the time, possibly hindering Hite’s ability to dig. They remain optimistic that a thaw might uncover more evidence.

Hite faces charges of murder and evidence tampering, following a coordinated effort by local law enforcement agencies.
