Judge approves emergency order to close migrant gang-infested Aurora, Colorado, apartment complex

A judge in Aurora, Colorado, last week ordered the emergency closure of an apartment complex occupied by criminal and immigrant gangs.

City Judge Sean Day ruled Friday that the Edge at Raleigh apartment complex must be temporarily closed due to an “imminent threat to public safety.” City officials filed a petition last week against the apartment complex's owner, Five Dallas Partners.

Despite the order, city officials say they don't expect any further closures for several months.

The city's petition to close the apartment complex included an affidavit from Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain, who cited a long history of violent crimes at the apartment complex.
