Judge Blocks Sale Of Elvis Presley’s Home Over Forged Signature: REPORT

A Tennessee judge blocked the sale of Elvis Presley’s iconic home, Graceland, from hitting the auction in a Thursday ruling, documents obtained by ABC 24 show.

Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough, filed a lawsuit to stop Naussany Investments and Private Lending LLC from auctioning the mansion, alleging the company presented a fraudulent signature by her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, according to her counter-lawsuit in Shelby County obtained by the outlet. She alleged that Naussany Investments presented false documents showing that Lisa Marie borrowed 3.8 million and “gave a deed of trust encumbering Graceland as security.”

“These documents are fraudulent. Lisa Marie Presley never borrowed money from Naussany Investments and never gave a deed of trust to Naussany Investments,” the countersuit alleged. “Naussany Investments has now scheduled a non-judicial sale of Graceland based on the fraudulent deed of trust.”

The latest filing shows the company placed a lien on the property and scheduled a foreclosure for May 23, according to the suit. (RELATED: Lisa Marie Presley’s Family Reportedly Battling Over Access To Her Fortune)

Chancellor JoeDae Jenkins ruled the notary “did not notarize the signature of Lisa Marie Presley on the deed of trust, which brings into question the authenticity of the signature,” according to ABC News.

“The court will adjourn the sale as requested because one, the real estate is considered unique under Tennessee law and in being unique, the loss of the real estate would be considered irreparable harm,” Jenkins reportedly wrote in response to “Gregory Naussany” of Jacksonville’s motion to continue the sale.

“Graceland is part of this community, well loved by this community and indeed around the world,” Jenkins continued, the outlet reported.

Lisa Marie Presley died Jan. 12, 2023 from small bowel obstruction which developed from bariatric surgery years prior.
