Federal judge Shot down A request from the Associated Press in an emergency motion to grant outlet access to the White House pool event after being banned by President Donald Trump.
The AP said it was closed from the event after refusing to change the name of the US Gulf in the Gulf of Mexico, as directed by an executive order from Trump. “The AP Stylebook” is used by many journalists to standardize writing practices in many news outlets.

US District Judge Trevor McFadden refused to issue a temporary injunction that the AP had requested to regain access to the oval office and Air Force 1. However, he scheduled a hearing on March 20th to ensure that he fully listens to the incident.
The Associated Press allegedly violated the environmental system's right to free speech, but Trump administration lawyers argued that news outlets do not have “special media access to the president.”
“We are wary of the Trump administration's punishment of the Associated Press with independent journalism,” the Associated Press said in a previous statement. “Restricting access to an oval office based on the content of the AP's speech not only severely hinders public access to independent news, but is clearly a violation of the initial revision.”
US lawyer Edward R. Martin Jr. has been released statement About the incident.
“Like the president playing cards.” [sic] Lawyer, we are proud to fight to protect his leadership as president, and we are wary of facing entities like the AP who refuse to put America first. ” he wrote.
The president addressed the issue when asked whether reporters would consider lifting the ban.
“We're going to keep them out until they agree that they're the Gulf of America,” Trump replied.
“I think some of the phrases they want to use are ridiculous. Frankly, I think they've become outdated, especially in the last three weeks,” he added about the Stylebook.
McFadden was appointed Trump.
