Judge Judy torches Alvin Bragg for ‘nonsense’ case against Trump, accuses DA of ‘self-aggrandizement’

Media personality and former judge Judy Sheindlin recently accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (Democrat) of wasting taxpayer money in New York elections. Criminal trials To former President Donald Trump.

During the period interview Speaking with CNN’s Chris Wallace, Sheindlin called Bragg’s accusations against Trump “nonsense.”

“You had to rack your brain to figure out what the crime was.”

“As a Manhattan property owner, I’d be much happier if the New York County district attorney took care of the criminals who are making it impossible for citizens to walk the streets and ride the subway and tried to keep them off the city, rather than spending $5 million or $10 million of taxpayer money suing Donald Trump for this nonsense,” Sheindlin said during an episode of “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.”

“That’s my view. But as a taxpayer in this country, I resent the use of this system for personal gain,” Sheindlin continued, making it clear he was referring to Bragg.

“It took a lot of brainstorming to figure out what the crime was,” she added. “He [Bragg] I don’t like him [Trump]New York City didn’t like him for a while.”

Wallace asked Sheindlin what she thought of Trump, to which she paused and then replied: “What do I think of him? I think he’s a great businessman, a great real estate guy, and he did a great job on ‘The Apprentice.'”

“What do you think of him as president of the United States?” Wallace demanded.

“I don’t think Donald should have been president, and I don’t think Donald ever intended to be president. I don’t think so,” Sheindlin responded.

Last year, Bragg filed a lawsuit against former President Trump accusing him of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. In late May, a jury found Trump guilty on all counts. Trump’s lawyer, Todd Branche, said he “expected” the jury would return a guilty verdict and plans to appeal.

“We intend to appeal, and we intend to win on appeal,” Blanche said. “The goal is to appeal quickly and hopefully get an acquittal quickly.”

“I didn’t expect to get a fair shake in Manhattan, and I didn’t,” he added.

Bragg has been called to testify before Congress about the charges against Trump, and his lawyers said he would “willingly cooperate,” but he declined to appear at a June 13 meeting of the House Judiciary Committee, citing “scheduling conflicts.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said the committee would subpoena Bragg and Matthew Colangelo, one of the lead prosecutors in the case, if they do not testify voluntarily.
