“I cannot believe that the Biden FBI gave Ashli ​​Babbitt’s killer a free pass while engaging in a months-long malicious ‘crime’ investigation against Babbitt himself,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. .

A watchdog group has filed a $30 million wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of Babbitt’s family. A court filing last week revealed that the Biden Justice Department is moving the case from California to Washington, D.C., in hopes of finding a judge and jury more sympathetic to prosecutors.

Judicial Watch argued that the Capitol courtroom would be a “hostile courtroom” given the subject matter of the case.
