Justin Thomas has an insane amount of PGA Tour course records

Justin Thomas got off to an incredible start this week with RBC legacy. He fired a 10-under 61 to match the track record at Harbortown, taking the opening round lead. He also jumped over him on Saturday and headed towards Sunday as a full leader while holding the lead following Friday’s action. With strokes as it is worth the Thomas Trail Kim (-15).

Thomas could be the first player on the PGA Tour to win this season after leading the opening round, but as noted, he has carved out some work for him. It’s the odd thing that’s true, considering he was 10 under after 18 holes.

As mentioned earlier, Thomas 61 was tied to Hilton Head’s course record, and the day after he filmed it was discovered that the world actually holds a portion of at least nine total course records. Think about it!

As you can see, Harbortown’s Thomas 61 is listed similar to the 62 he had with TPC Sawgrass early on in the players this season. Erin Hills and Winged Foot are also listed… these are not casual courses where JT has his name hanging on the inner wall of the clubhouse.

This is an incredible list no matter what, but it makes sense that if he can walk away as the tournament winner on Sunday, it means more for JT.
