Justin Timberlake’s high-profile lawyer broke his silence Wednesday following the pop star’s DUI arrest in the Hamptons, saying he wants to know what information prosecutors have about his client.
His attorney, Edward Burke Jr., representing him, said he will have much to say when the time is right.
“Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” the statement said. “He will have more to say at the appropriate time.”
“He is currently awaiting full disclosure by the Crown Prosecutor’s Office.”
Timberlake, 43, was arrested in Sag Harbor just after midnight Tuesday after police say he ran a stop sign and swerved while driving.
The pop star refused to submit to a blood alcohol content test three times after being taken to the Sag Harbor Police Department on suspicion of drunk driving. He was released without bail under the terms of the deal.

Officers pulled over his grey 2025 BMW and said the pop star’s eyes were hollow and bloodshot and he smelled of alcohol. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.
Timberlake has remained silent since the breakup.
On Tuesday, his wife, actress Jessica Biel, returned to work in New York for the first time since her husband’s arrest and was spotted on the set of “The Better Sisters.”
Biel, 42, has been married to Timberlake since 2012 and the couple have two children.
Sources say Timberlake stumbled around drunk at the American Hotel and downed other guests’ drinks at a popular Sag Harbor hangout.
Meanwhile, Timberlake’s ex-girlfriend Britney Spears posted a strange Instagram message along with a cryptic photo of a fruit cocktail late Tuesday, just hours after being arrested for drunk driving.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office did not respond to a request for comment.
