Kai Trump Enjoys Golf with Grandfather, President Donald Trump
For Kai Trump, hitting the golf course with her grandfather is pretty much a regular occurrence—though, of course, there’s the fact that he’s the President of the United States.
“Honestly, I just see him as my granddad,” Kai shared in a recent chat. “We go play golf all the time. It’s nothing out of the ordinary for us.”
Their latest outing had a twist, as they played a best-ball round at Trump National Golf Club near Washington, D.C., and this time, it was open for everyone to watch.
Even though the course was supposedly closed, they considered it the “perfect U.S. Open course.” Kai filmed their round for her YouTube channel, naming the video, “I’m playing golf with President Donald Trump (my grandfather).”
When Kai brought up this idea, her grandfather was all in. “There were definitely a lot of moving parts, but he was 100 percent on top of it,” she said. “He liked the idea, and everything worked out. I had a blast playing with him. He made it easy to shoot.”
Kai added, “If I reach out and ask him to play next Saturday, he always carves out time. That’s one of the best things about him—he prioritizes family.”
On another note, cans of Accelerator Active Energy appeared frequently in her videos. Kai has actually invested in the brand and signed on with NIL before heading to the University of Miami to pursue college golf.
“The brands align well. I’ve always loved energy drinks, and this opportunity just clicked. The drink itself is fantastic—zero sugar. I really like both the team and the product,” she explained.
Looking ahead, her next vlog will feature her grandfather again, this time at last month’s Ryder Cup. Kai enjoyed watching the opening tee shot at Bethpage Black and even shared a moment with golfer Bryson DeChambeau.
“I’m passionate about golf. It’s my whole life, so going to the Ryder Cup was incredible. I never miss it on TV,” she stated.
However, she did feel the fans were a bit overwhelming for Team Europe. “I admire Rory and all the European players,” she noted.
At just 18 years old, Kai’s world is set to expand. For now, she’s focused on her senior year in high school, but has her sights set on other aspirations.
“One of my main goals is to go pro in golf. I want to do everything I can to achieve that once I graduate college,” she said. “Also, just being sociable, taking everything I’m doing now and really elevating it.”
