Matt Gorman, a political consultant and former adviser to Tim Scott, criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic proposal during an appearance on CNN on Friday.
Gorman pointed to the far-left aspects of Harris’ policy proposals, including price controls and $25,000 grants to first-time homebuyers.
He also noted that he is vice president in the Biden administration, which has overseen a worsening U.S. economy.
“This new program that she’s doing is pretty left-wing. $25,000, price controls, that’s basically number one,” Gorman said. “The other thing is, you know, she conveniently forgets that she was vice president for the last four years when the housing market crisis was at its worst and inflation was at its worst, so that’s what a lot of people remember. But in terms of the $25,000, I mean, it’s an addition of $25,000 to every home price in the country, because if you give that essentially for free, people are going to price it in.”
