Kamala Harris Criticized for Authoring 'Word Salad' Book on Unsuccessful 2024 Presidential Campaign

Kamala Harris, the former Vice President, unveiled a memoir on Thursday that reflects on her experiences during the campaign after Joe Biden exited the 2024 presidential race.

In a statement, Harris mentioned that her forthcoming book aims to provide readers with an insider’s view of what she calls “the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

The book, titled “107 Days,” is set to hit shelves on September 23rd.

Harris aims to write it “with honesty and reflection,” believing it’s important to share her insights, experiences, and the steps she intends to take moving forward.

However, her announcement has faced considerable backlash on social media. One user questioned, “Why not feel ashamed of running one of the worst campaigns ever?” referring to a moment when she twisted the rapper at an event.

Another comment read, “Did you really write a book? You couldn’t finish a speech without a teleprompter. Do you expect us to think you wrote this?” Another user added, “Sounds like a book full of word salads. It’s just a must-read, isn’t it?”

In late July 2024, the Associated Press reported Biden had exited the race following a challenging debate against Donald Trump.

The AP noted, however, that Biden “didn’t immediately endorse Vice President Harris, who was seen as the leading candidate for the party’s nomination at the Chicago convention in August.”

In an interview in October, Harris claimed she was “elected” as the Democratic candidate, but this statement was later challenged by Breitbart’s fact-checking, which found it misleading.

The outlet remarked, “Harris garnered support from a majority of representatives to become a party candidate but received no votes in the Democrats’ main process.”

Recently, Trump accused Harris of violating laws with payments made to celebrities like Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey for their endorsements, as reported by Breitbart News.

Trump stated, “Paying for endorsements is illegal. What would happen if politicians started doing that? It would be chaos! Kamala and the ones who took the money broke the law. They should all be prosecuted!”

Meanwhile, Harris has ruled out a run for California governor in 2026, and Biden reportedly sold the rights to his memoir for $10 million.
