Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance said Vice President Kamala Harris Minnesota Governor Tim Walz She nominated former high school football coach Joe Biden as her running mate in the 2024 presidential election, calling him “far-left.”
“He’s a really far-left candidate. The governor is really far-left, but the fact that Kamala Harris picked him, I think, shows she has really terrible judgment and that she doesn’t have what it takes to be president of the United States,” Vance said on “Hannity” Tuesday.
Walz was elected vice presidential candidate over Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, but Vance said the move showed Harris had “caught on to the far left” of the Democratic Party.

“This decision is Select Tim Waltz“This is another sign that she doesn’t care about the opinion of the American people,” Vance said. “She’s only in this to cater to the far-left extremists in her own party. It’s a real embarrassment for Kamala Harris.”

He added that he believes “anti-Semites” within Harris’ party led the debate over who should ultimately be given the vice presidential spot.

Shapiro delivered an impassioned speech at a campaign rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday, marking the first joint appearance between Harris and Waltz.

Vance told Fox News host Sean Hannity that a vice presidential candidate should not be chosen based on whether he or she has the “right ethnic background.”
“This is extremely anti-American,” he said.
