House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) said Sunday on NBC's “Meet the Press” that he is “desperate” because Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is “low in the polls.” ” he said.
Host Kristen Welker said, “Mr. Speaker, should Donald Trump release his medical records?”
Johnson said: He issued the attending physician's notes. Kamala Harris is so depressed and hopeless in the polls that she issues medical records as a distraction. Donald Trump's health is on display. Everyone in America can see it. The man works tirelessly. He never quits and probably sleeps 4 hours a night. He doesn't need as much sleep as the average person and has an unusual body shape. This is what we need. We are in the most dangerous period since World War II. We need a strong, stable commander and commander-in-chief that our allies respect and our enemies fear. They're not afraid of Kamala Harris. They're afraid of Donald Trump. ”
“Just to be clear, he has not released his medical records, he has released two letters,” Welker said.
“There's no need for that,” Johnson said.
He added: “Americans don't care about Donald Trump's cholesterol levels. They don't care about the fact that they can't pay their bills and pay for groceries because Kamala Harris and Joe Biden's policies have put them in that situation. I care. Medical records don’t matter.”
