Kamala Harris Announces New Book
Kamal Harris, who failed in her presidential bid, has recently emerged to share that she’s written a new book that might just catch some attention after it hits the shelves.
Titled “107 Days,” the book details her rise within the Democratic presidential race and reflects on the defeat she faced against President Donald Trump.
She mentioned, “What people saw during the campaign was only a piece of what happened.” On social media, she described how her book aims to provide a behind-the-scenes look at what she calls the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.
Of course, social media had quite a lot to say about Harris’s decision to pen a book regarding her experiences in the Democratic Party, especially after her Election Day loss. One critic, Jim Hanson, humorously noted, “I’m eager to hear the storytelling of burning through $1.5 billion in just 107 days without achieving anything.”
Another commentator, Savanna Hernandez from Turning Point USA, questioned her lack of embarrassment over running one of the most unsuccessful presidential campaigns, remarking, “You literally twisted the rapper at your event.”
Roxanne Hoge, chair of the Los Angeles County GOP, chimed in, stating she too was anticipating the book and implied it would be full of surprises.
A different response from the online community suggested that reading the book wasn’t necessary to understand why she lost to Trump, humorously attributing the loss to a lack of charisma and ineffective decisions on her part.
Another critic commented, “I find it amusing how people like Harris put on a show writing about their disheartening experiences during a notably brief campaign. Yet, there’s talk of her possibly running again in 2028?”
In a recent update, Harris confirmed she wouldn’t be running for governor of California. Her book is set to release on September 23rd and some believe it may soon find itself in the discount bin.
