Kamala Harris Still Has No Policies on Website After Democratic Convention

Five weeks into her presidential candidacy, one week after the Democratic National Convention concluded in Chicago, Illinois, and with the presidential election heading into its final weeks, Vice President Kamala Harris has yet to post a policy statement on her website.

Harris’ website includes bios for the candidates as well as one for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a “Take Action” tab where supporters can add themselves to the list, a store selling campaign merchandise and a “Donate” button.

But there is no policy. During last week’s convention, former President Donald Trump’s campaign launched a parody website. kamala2024policies.comHarris’ policy list is based on her past radical policy statements.

Her past policies include supporting Medicare for All and ending private health insurance, the Green New Deal and banning fracking, as well as open borders and decriminalizing illegal immigration.Funding cutsOr defunding the police, providing medical care to “transgender children” regardless of parental rights, pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza even if it keeps Hamas in power, abortion on demand up until birth, etc. These are deeply unpopular positions.

Harris’ platform is likely to include the Democratic Party platform, which passed unanimously and without amendment last week but still refers to President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee and never mentions the word “Kamala.” The platform includes existing policies of the Biden administration.

Harris’s proposed policies so far include widely criticized price controls, massive tax hikes worth up to $5 trillion and a spending proposal to offer $25,000 down payments to first-time homebuyers, including undocumented immigrants.

Harris has offered few other details and has not responded to reporters’ questions.
