Kamala Harris Reflects on Biden’s Campaign and Her Political Journey
In a recent appearance on “The View,” former Vice President Kamala Harris shared her surprise at having played a significant role in the presidential campaign, metaphorically describing it as “tugging the pin with a ren bullet.” When pressed about her relationship with President Joe Biden, she mentioned that he didn’t say much but offered a few things to think about, suggesting he was involved in many key decisions.
Harris, in her book “107 Days,” expressed her shock, stating, “I never thought I’d just pull a pin on a hand bullet.” She recalled the moments leading up to it, mentioning how she interacted with her staff and distributed gifts to the Trump campaign.
Challenges Within the Administration
Harris also voiced her frustrations regarding the support—or lack thereof—from Biden’s communications team and close associates. According to reports, she felt that some of her concerns and issues were brushed aside, which contributed to tensions within the administration.
Reflecting on her electoral journey, Harris acknowledged that she lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump, who won both the electoral and popular votes. She candidly described learning about her defeat, stating, “I barely managed to breathe,” and questioned, “My God, my God, what will happen to our kingdom?”
Political Aspirations
Earlier this year, Harris announced her decision to step back from the governor’s race in California for the 2026 election. “In recent months, I have been seriously thinking about asking Californians to have their privilege as governor,” she stated, but ultimately decided against running after careful consideration.
Harris expressed her hopes and dreams for her political future, mentioning that she had a “first choice” in mind for her running mates but felt that America wasn’t quite ready for that vision.
