Vice President Kamala Harris returns to Nevada.
The Biden-Harris campaign event will be held in Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 9th.
This will be the vice president’s sixth visit to the battleground state of Nevada this year and his 14th since taking office.
No details were released about the date or location of the campaign event, but it was announced after the Biden-Trump debate, which many experts described as a weak showing for Biden.
Meanwhile, Democratic Rep. Lloyd Doggett of Texas has publicly called on Biden to “drop out” of the 2024 presidential race, the first Democratic congressman to make such a claim.
“President Biden has dedicated his life to public service and has accomplished much for our country both at home and abroad,” Doggett said in a statement released at Centre Square.
“President Biden has led a nation in crisis and helped rebuild the country after a pandemic, riots and years of destruction caused by the Trump administration. But for more than a year, many Americans have expressed dissatisfaction with the choice made in this election.”
If Biden declines, Harris would be one of the options Democrats have to prevent Trump from being re-elected.

Other candidates being considered include California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, but a new CNN poll found that 45% of voters would support Harris if she faced Trump.
That’s better than Biden, who is trailing Trump by 6 points in the polls. Meanwhile, South Carolina Democratic Rep. James Clyburn told MSNBC on Tuesday that he would support Harris if Biden dropped out of the campaign. Clyburn endorsed Biden in 2020, a move that helped Biden win the Palmetto State that year.
Harris’ previous visits to Nevada include meeting with labor union members in Las Vegas in January, a speech at Mojave High School in March and a rally after the presidential debate in Las Vegas on June 28.
