Upcoming Interview with Kamala Harris
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is set to continue her media outreach with an interview featuring MSNBC Washington correspondent Eugene Daniels, slated to air this Sunday.
This will be Harris’ fourth television appearance since her loss in the 2024 presidential election to President Donald Trump. In the interview, she plans to talk about various topics, including the indictment of Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James and her recent book titled “107 Days.” This was highlighted in a press release from MSNBC.
The conversation will take place on Saturday, and the broadcast will air at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday.
Daniels and Harris are expected to cover a range of subjects. The initial glimpse of the interview is scheduled for Saturday, with the full discussion airing Sunday morning.
Since her presidential campaign ended, Harris made her first return to television on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” back on August 1, where she promoted her book and reflected on the election period. During that segment, she struggled to name prominent figures in the Democratic Party and shared a laugh when asked to elaborate on her book.
Later, Harris appeared on “The Rachel Maddow Show” on September 22, continuing her book promotion. Maddow confronted her about the implication that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, whom Harris previously described as her preferred vice-presidential choice, might not be viable due to his sexual orientation. Harris clarified, stating that her comments in the book about the stakes of representation were misunderstood.
Harris also mentioned that shortly after the contentious election against Trump, it became evident that having a black woman and a gay man as running mates came with significant risks, which added complexity to the political climate.
The day after her Maddow appearance, Harris was on “The View” and inaccurately stated that the 2024 election was the closest of the 21st century, although the 2000 election between George W. Bush and Al Gore is widely recognized as the closest in the Electoral College.
