A memo prepared by Dave McCormick’s campaign for the Pennsylvania Senate seat said presumptive presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ “liberal policies” were a “harmful brand” to Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA).
“I think it’s important to be mindful of what’s going on in the Senate,” said Mark Harris, a strategist for McCormick’s campaign to oust Casey in November. found Harris and her “support for San Francisco’s liberal policies are a toxic brand for Pennsylvania Democrats, including the weak Bob Casey.”

“Harris’ image among key groups in the election is in a worse position than Biden’s,” he added.
He added: “This race is about a Harris-Casey platform that is soft on crime, soft on borders and liberal in every respect.”
McCormick’s campaign released an ad on Tuesday making clear that Casey endorsed Harris and has since supported her radical policies.

McCormick’s memo also details how Casey has supported Harris’ policies.
- Casey approved of Harris 98% of the time when he was a senator and 100% when he served as vice president and Senate president.
- “Kamala Harris and Bob Casey have radical positions on the border, including abolishing ICE and decriminalizing border crossings.”
- “Kamala Harris and Bob Casey are backing the most radical energy plan in American history.
Harris wants to ban fracking, which would be devastating to Pennsylvania’s economy.” - “Bob Casey and Kamala Harris oppose defunding the police. Harris wants to grant voting rights to prisoners, including the Boston Marathon bomber, murderers and people convicted of sexual assault. At the same time, she supports mandatory gun confiscation policies that target lawful gun owners.”

“Over the next few days, our campaign will be releasing a massive amount of targeted digital, mail and television advertising to drive home this message so all Pennsylvanians will be fully informed that the Biden-Harris-Casey agenda has failed and they will have a clear choice to make,” McCormick’s memo read.
