Brown Advises Harris on Supreme Court Ambitions
William Brown, who previously dated former Vice President Kamala Harris, shared insights about her political future. He suggested that she should aim to become a Supreme Court judge. This advice came in a recent episode of the Gold Podcast, where he reflected on her political status following her loss in the 2024 election and her decision not to seek the governor’s seat in California.
Brown mentioned that he told Harris to express her interest in being nominated for the role of Attorney General to then-presidential candidate Joe Biden. “I urged [Harris], it’s [Biden] coming to you [as vice president] to tell him you want to be Attorney General. With your genuine talent, you could easily secure a place on the Supreme Court,” he stated, adding that she seemed to have reconsidered revealing this ambition.
As for a potential run for governor, Brown indicated it would be a challenging endeavor for Harris, suggesting that her skills would be better suited for the High Court. Recently, Harris made it clear that she won’t pursue the governor’s position or any other public office at this time.
“In recent months, I have seriously thought about asking the people of California to be governor. I love this state, its people, and its promises. It’s my home. But after deep reflection, I have decided not to run for governor in this election,” Harris stated in a post on X.
After losing the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump, sources indicated that Harris wanted to keep her political options open. Some California House Democrats expressed skepticism about her prospects for a gubernatorial bid, as reported by CNN.
Interestingly, in a 2016 statement, Harris expressed a desire not to be considered for a Supreme Court nomination by then-President Barack Obama.
As of now, Harris has not responded to requests for comments from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
